Tuismitheoirí

Fáiltímid i gcónaí roimh thuismitheoirí i gColáiste Íosagáin. Is féidir le tuismitheoirí glaoch a chur nó coinne a dhéanamh labhairt leis an bpríomhoide nó le múinteoir má tá gá acu leis.

Níl cead ag aon duine nach ball d’fhoireann na scoile é dul go seomra ranga gan chead ó údaráis na scoile. Iarrtar ar thuismitheoirí teacht go dtí an Oifig agus údaráis na scoile a chur ar an eolas faoi aon ghnó atá acu sa scoil.

Bíonn cruinnithe múinteoirí / tuismitheoirí ar siúl uair sa bhliain do gach bliainghrúpa. Seoltar tuairiscí scríofa abhaile faoi dhó sa scoilbhliain, um Nollaig agus sa samhradh. Seoltar tuairiscí scríofa abhaile níos minicí do dhaltaí i mBliain 5 & 6.

Iarrtar ar thuismitheoirí an Dialann Scoile a sheiceáil agus a shíniú go rialta agus a chinntiú go ndéanann daltaí an obair bhaile atá leagtha síos dóibh, go bhfuil gach téacsleabhar acu a iarrtar orthu agus go dtagann siad ar scoil in am gach lá agus iad gléasta mar ba chóir.

Leis an Idirbhliain bíonn cabhair á lorg againn chomh maith go háirithe ó thaobh taithí oibre a chur ar fáil do dhaltaí agus i gcúrsaí gnó go ginearálta. Cabhraíonn sé go mór freisin má bhíonn tuismitheoirí sásta taisteal le foirne ag cluichí scoile. Más féidir leatsa cabhrú linn in aon cheann de na bealaí seo, bheimís buíoch as glaoch gutháin ag uair ar bith.

Parents

Parents are always welcome in Coláiste Íosagáin. Parents should feel free to ring or make an appointment to speak to the principal or any of the teachers if the need arises.

Nobody except members of the school staff may go to a classroom without the permission of the school authorities. Parents coming to the school for any reason must come to the Office and inform the school authorities of their presence and business in the school.

Formal Parent / Teacher meetings are held once a year for each year group. Written reports are sent home at Christmas and in the summer for all pupils. 5th and 6th Year pupils have written reports send home more frequently.

Parents are asked to check and sign the Dialann Scoile regularly and to ensure that to pupils complete the prescribed homework to the best of their ability, that they bring in the books and copies required every day and that they arrive in time and in proper uniform.

In the Transition Year the help of parents is essential in providing work experience placements for pupils and in supporting ‘business affairs’ generally. Parents’ assistance in accompanying teams to matches is also a great help. If you feel you could contribute to the school in any of these ways, we would love to hear from you at any time.

Comhchoiste na dTuismitheoirí    Parents’ Association

Tá comhchoiste thuismitheoirí an-ghníomhach againn anseo i gColáiste Íosagáin agus Coláiste Eoin. Tá an coiste seo freagrach don Bhord Bainistíochta.

Tugann siad an-tacaíocht dos na tuismitheoirí agus don dá scoil inár gcuid oibre ar son na ndaltaí.

Cuireann siad cainteanna ar siúl ó am go céile le cabhrú le tuismitheoirí i dtógáil a gclainne. Cabhraíonn siad i gcúrsaí treoirghairme agus le bréag-agallaimh dos na daltaí sinsearacha.

Is féidir leat teacht ag suíomh idirlín Chomhchoiste na dTuismitheoirí ach cliceáil anseo.**

We have a very active parents’ association here in Coláiste Íosagáin and Coláiste Eoin. This committee gives great support both to parents and to the schools and is subject to the Board of Management.

They organise talks on various topics of interest to parents and teachers of teenagers. They help with career guidance and mock interviews for senior pupils.

Coiste an Aonaigh / Aonach Saothair Committee

Fochoiste an-tábhachtach den chomhchoiste is ea Coiste an Aonaigh. Príomhimeacht na bliana ag an gcoiste seo ná an t-Aonach Saothair i Mí na Samhna a eagrú. Cuireann sé seo an-chuid airgid bhreise ar fáil do chúrsaí scoile le rudaí a cheannach nach bhféadfaí gan an chabhair seo.

This is a very important sub-committee of the Comhchoiste. Their main work during the year is the organisation of the Aonach Saothair in November. This is a major fund-raising activity for the school but it is also a social event for pupils, parents and friends.

Volunteers are always needed either on a continuous basis or to help out with specific tasks.
